Our Livingstone Explorers are made up children aged between 0 and 15 years old and we have an enthusiastic and dedicated team of teachers.
Our Explorers meet at 11.30am and are in Church for 15 minutes of the service. We then make our way into the Church hall where we open our service with one of our many action hymns followed by prayer. We have another action hymn then invite the Explorers to tell us about birthdays, special news etc. The offering is taken up as we sing our offering song then it is dedicated with a prayer. The children then break up into small groups and their teachers tell their story which includes an activity. We close our weekly gathering with a hymn and prayer.
We take part in the Harvest Festival in October and perform our Nativity Play at Christmas followed by a party for the children in the Church hall. In June we have our Prize Giving and our Cradle Roll Service. We invite the babies who have been baptised over the past year along with their parents to this short and informal service, when the babies are presented with a plant and their parents are presented with a Certificate.
We have our Summer Explorers for children who attend Church over the summer months.
The Explorers resume the first Sunday in September.
